Judge critiques from Humberside & Lincolnshire Shows

Best Of Variety Oriental
I was scheduled to judge Lincolnshire BOV Oriental but due to a slight confusion Mrs Hamilton judged it and I judged Humberside BOV Oriental which she was scheduled to judge! I had great pleasure in awarding BOV to Mrs Bailey's stunning young Black male WESTGARTH BATOUTOFHELL. This lad certainly has all the qualities you can ask for in an Oriental. 

Oriental Black Adult, Male
1 CC & BoB Bailey's WESTGARTH BATOUTOFHELL 37 M 22-09-09
A well grown young male, 9½ months old, and quite outstanding! A youngster of overall excellence and elegance. Head of excellent type and well balanced. Large ears of excellent shape and set. Excellent top of head. Excellent profile, very good chinline and correct bite. Muzzle appeared to show a pinch, but this was the result of him puffing his whisker pads. Excellent lines to wedge. Eyes of excellent size, shape and set, very good clear green colour. Long elegant neck. Excellent length to body. Long slender legs with neat feet. Tail of very good length needing just a little more taper for perfection/ Very short close lying coat of excellent texture, dense glossy black and sound to the roots. Excellent condition and a superb temperament, he really did show himself to advantage. A young cat of overall excellence, and without doubt one of the finest Orientals I have judged.

1 Bailey's WESTGARTH BATOUTOFHELL (37) M 22/9/09 Lovely youngster - now he - even at this young age- has that 'wicked' look to him! Long wedge with super roman profile, chin could be a tad stronger but ok and bite level, oriental eyes of a very good depth of brilliant green, long neck and body - this super muscle tone already, no doubting he is a boy! - tail is a good length but just a little on the heavy side, stands tall on elegant legs. Glossy jet-black coat, close fitting and perfectly sound to roots. First class temperament - just loving the attention. I shall watch him with interest!

GR CH Beesiam Ashantii (Ashley)
We had to make the terrible decision to  let him go due to a tumour on his kidney.
Gently put to sleep to avoid further suffering.
God bless you my special lad, your looks and gentle temprement
 will live on in your offspring.

and finally what an achievement for Foolsgold, three of his babies gaining BOB and one
going on to win Supreme kitten, not bad for his first two attempts at being a dad.
